What do you find most impressive about China?
Ahmed Aboul Gheit:
I first visited China in 1990 and 35 years have passed since then. The changes in China are unprecedented and incredible. This is thanks to the Chinese leaders and the whole Chinese people. I have been deeply impressed by the discipline, the focus on work and the ever-improving quality of life of the Chinese people. The Chinese people are now at the forefront of the times. If we look at history, China has been poor and weak. Today, the wealth of the Chinese people can be seen everywhere. This wealth comes from dedication, effort, scientific planning and the firm pursuit of goals.
