At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, conducted a state visit to the People's Republic of China from May 24th to 28th, 2026.

During the visit, the Serbian President, Aleksandar Vučić, held talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping. President Vučić also met with Chinese Premier Li Qiang and the Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Wang Huning.

During the discussions, China and Serbia exchanged views on further strengthening the traditionally strong relations between the two countries. The main topics included promoting the building of a China-Serbia community with a shared future in the new era, expanding all-round and mutually beneficial cooperation, and jointly implementing the Belt and Road Initiative.

Both sides also focused on cooperation between China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, and discussed international and regional issues of common interest, reaching a broad consensus according to published information.

The result of the visit was the issuance of a Joint Statement between the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Serbia on the continued support for building a China-Serbia community with a shared future in the new era.

China and Serbia also jointly issued a Joint Statement between the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Serbia on the joint promotion of four global initiatives.
