In Beijing, a celebratory concert was held on Monday evening to commemorate the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. The event took place in the Great Hall of the People, located in the center of the Chinese capital, and was titled "People First."
The performance was attended by the highest leaders of the party and state, including Xi Jinping, Li Qiang, Zhao Leji, Wang Huning, Cai Qi, Ding Xuexiang, Li Xi, and Han Zheng. Approximately three thousand spectators also attended the concert.
The program was divided into five parts. It commemorated revolutionary martyrs, the unity of the military and civilian sectors during the period of revolutionary wars, and the development of the country during the years of socialist revolution and construction. The performers also focused on the transformations in China since the beginning of the policy of reform and opening up to the world, and presented the achievements of the country in a new era.
The concert concluded with a collective singing performance. The audience rose and sang the song "Without the Communist Party, there would be no New China." Representatives of foreign experts working in China were also invited to the celebratory event.
