China Media Group (CMG), together with the Permanent Mission of China to the United Nations, held a cultural event titled "Echoes of Peace" at the UN headquarters in New York to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory in World War II. The event was attended by diplomats from over 30 countries, representatives of the United Nations, and descendants of veterans from the renowned Flying Tigers unit.

In a video address, the President of CMG, **Shen Haixiong**, quoted President **Xi Jinping's** words, stating that "historical memory and truth will never disappear," and announced extensive multilingual coverage of the anniversary events on CMG platforms. The Permanent Representative of China to the United Nations, **Fu Cong**, recalled that the Chinese people held the main eastern front of the war for 14 years and made enormous sacrifices in the fight against fascism.

Participants highly praised the courage and resilience of the Chinese people, as well as the friendship between China and the United States, symbolized by the Flying Tigers unit. The evening also featured a stunning **projection on the facade of the UN building**, which used modern technology to recall key moments of Chinese resistance.

The event garnered international attention and was shared by over **1,300 media outlets in 50 countries**. The "Echoes of Peace" series will continue in other countries, including Russia, Kenya, the United States, South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, Mexico, and the United Kingdom.
