China establishes permanent mission to the International Maritime Organization

China has established a permanent mission to the International Maritime Organization (IMO). A reception was held at the Chinese Embassy in the UK on Tuesday evening.

The reception was co-chaired by Zheng Zeguang, Chinese Ambassador to the UK and Permanent Representative of China to the IMO, and Li Yang, Vice Minister of Transport and Head of the Chinese Delegation to the 34th IMO Session. The event was attended by nearly 300 guests, including IMO Secretary-General Arsenio Dominguez, heads of delegation to IMO meetings, diplomats and representatives from various circles in London.
