This dynasty was elegant, wealthy and open-minded - and gave birth to a culture and aesthetic that has not been surpassed for thousands of years. And the pinnacle of it all was concentrated in one city - the capital of the Northern Sung Dynasty, Dongjing, which was called Pienjing.
