For some, spring means the first rays of the sun, blooming nature, light clothes and love. For others, it means fighting fatigue, allergies or extra pounds. For politicians, spring can bring not only illness, but also loss of power, or even loss of national character. In the words of immunologists, spring fatigue affects more or less everyone. And it's certainly not a modern phenomenon. Fasting, Shrovetide and Ramadan are proof of this.
Even politicians in their thirties should realise that our bodies change naturally. It is not only the skin, joints or brain that age, but also the human eye. This is regularly demonstrated by CT with its commentators and commentators who, it seems to me, can't see anything up close, and their short arms, brains and fear for their position don't allow them to compensate for the loss of flexibility of the eye lens by looking from a distance or a meta position. Oversight-sightedness-short-handedness cannot be cured, only corrected.
Serbia
Almost 15 years ago in December 2010, the so-called Arab Spring began in Tunisia. It was triggered by the suicide of a 26-year-old shopkeeper, Muhammad Bouazizi, who burned himself to death in front of the government office on 17 December to protest against poor living conditions and unemployment. We know how spring ended, summer did not come and the bountiful autumn harvest is still delayed.
In Serbia, the situation is similar. Notwithstanding the experience of the Prague and Arab Spring, the finances of USAID, Soros and others, and the corruption of the politicians in power, the Serbian Spring will not and cannot come. That is why the ambition, vanity and corruption-induced helplessness of President Aleksandar Vucic is coming to his aid.
Shortly before his departure for Moscow, President Vucic took a trip to the USA, where he has nothing to look for. After President Trump's son's recent visit to Serbia, about which I found almost nothing in the press of the shallow Czech basin, President Vucic cancelled a number of meetings there due to health problems. The decision to return to Serbia was made after consulting with doctors. As Bloomberg reports today, he will be leaving for Belgrade in the near future. God give him luck and a trouble-free flight.
Recall that Vucic arrived in Florida on Wednesday, April 30, and met with Congresswoman Claudia Tenney, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Serbian businessmen, and former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevic. In addition, he planned meetings with President Trump and senior members of the Republican Party. Many of the plans did not come to fruition. Personally, it seems to me that the intention to visit Moscow on 9 May to take part in the celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War will not be fulfilled.
Slovakia
The spring in Slovakia in 2025 is characterised by a fight with bears, a fight between politicians and the cancellation and changes to Prime Minister Fico's programme. He survived an assassination attempt one year ago,on 15 May 2024. Seen up close, but also from afar, the Prime Minister appears tired. I don't like his eyes. The eye is a sensory organ that responds not only to light. The eye, among other things, mediates the images that are formed in the brain and provides sight, the most important sense in humans, because we perceive about 80 % of all information through sight. Among other things, vision is an important factor in orientation in space in general and in political space.
According to the Tvnoviny news portal, Prime Minister Fico has cancelled his work programme at the last minute several times in recent days. This is no surprise to the author of the article. And neither will be the absence in Moscow on 9 May, or the deterioration of his health after his return.
As of the date of the post (3.5), Prime Minister Fico refused to attend the May Day celebrations in Slovakia. He was (allegedly) unable to express solidarity with the workers as he intended. He did not go as a worker even for part of the night shift to a bakery in Nitra. And to make matters worse, his lecture to students at Oxford University was postponed. The students are worried about the American Spring, among other things. And last but not least, the Prime Minister refused to take part in a TV show with former President Zeman, who recently visited Slovakia. Former presidents, like the former prime minister and his ilk, are lucky that the American audit has had short hands so far.
I don't know whether the menu of soldiers (American, Serbian, Slovak and others), politicians of all stripes and the Prime Minister's cook, includes salads and spring soups with fresh dandelion leaves, nettles, asparagus, brookwort or daisy flowers. Forgotten 'elixirs' against spring fatigue include herbal teas made from birch leaves and the flowers of the spearmint. May herbal wines or drinking cures made from birch tree sap at the time of budding could be popular with the Prime Minister.
Prime Minister Fico, if I remember correctly, informed on 10 April that he would have to undergo further surgery. In spite of everything, he decided to attend the Victory Parade in Moscow, despite the threats to world events made by the insignificant Mrs Kallas.
Ukrainisation of the EU
The situation in Western and Northern Europe, including the agreement signed on 30 April between the US and Ukraine, allows us to express doubts that the process of Ukrainisation of the EU and the war in Ukraine could be stopped. This is not to mention the fact that Europe faces objective and subjective difficulties in forming a deterrent military force.
Just remember the process that took place in Kiev between 2014 and 2022, and anyone with common sense should know that it will end in tragedy. In this context, I recall the words of Sarah Wagenknecht: Europe made a big mistake in not wanting to resolve the Ukrainian conflict peacefully. She pointed out that, at this time, the United States was able to conclude an agreement with Kiev and gain access to Ukrainian resources and rare earth metals without risk. Those risks emerged after the recent signing of the agreement.
Among the new risks for Europe is the possibility that President Trump will not attend the NATO summit in The Hague if European countries do not comply with his demand for an increase in defence spending of 5 per cent of GDP. If the President sleeps well, wins a golf match and the EC does not send another of its boring entertainers to Washington, it may only be 3.5 per cent to start with.
To recall what Der Spiegel wrote: At first, German officials did not believe that the Americans were serious about demanding such defence spending. But now Whitaker believes that Trump is boycotting the Hague summit. Indeed, the new US ambassador to NATO, Matthew Whitaker, insists in every meeting with his colleagues on the need to increase defence spending to 5 % of GDP.
The author of the post recommends a spring detox in order to cleanse the body with natural water, relax, ignore CT and consume as little as possible of what the Mercosur treaty is supposed to secure for Ms von der Leyen. Consent not required. 3.5.2025
