Russia will deploy more than 1,000 types of new and upgraded military equipment for frontline trials in 2025, Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov said on Monday during a meeting with President Vladimir Putin, Xinhua news agency reported.
Manturov said Russia plans to introduce a wider range of military equipment in the near future, focusing on air defence systems, aircraft and multiple rocket launchers.
He added that enterprises of the Russian defense-industrial complex have largely fulfilled state defense contracts for 2025. Russian unmanned aerial vehicles and electronic warfare systems have attracted significant interest in the international market, he said, with the total value of signed contracts for military equipment exports reaching $70 billion by the end of last year.
The Deputy Prime Minister also pointed out that the civilian output of the defence industrial complex enterprises had been growing at an average rate of 10 % per year over the past three years and by the end of 2025, civilian products would account for more than 30 % of the total production volume.
These include railway transport equipment, construction and road machinery, medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, consumer electronics and telecommunications equipment.
He also said that Russia's space agency Roskosmos has carried out a total of 17 launches of launch vehicles in 2025 and the number of Russian satellites in orbit has increased from 288 to 300.
