Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng met with a delegation from the US-China Business Council (USCBC) in Beijing on Sunday.
He, who is also a member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, said China-US relations are among the most important bilateral relations in the world.
He expressed his hope that the US-China Business Council will continue to serve as a bridge to promote friendship and contribute to the stable and healthy development of economic and trade relations between the two countries.
He also urged US companies to take advantage of the opportunities arising from China's development and to fully exploit the potential of its vast market, thus contributing to greater stability and positive dynamics of bilateral economic relations.
Rajesh Subramaniam, Chairman of the USCBC Board of Directors, and Sean Stein, President of the USCBC, said the U.S. business community remains optimistic about China's economic prospects and is ready to further expand its presence in the Chinese market and actively contribute to deepening bilateral economic cooperation.
