During an official friendly visit from 24 to 28 July, China's top legislator Zhao Leji highlighted the mutual trust and beneficial cooperation between China and Hungary.
During his visit to Budapest, Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the All-China People's Congress (APC), met with Hungarian President Tamas Sulyok and Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and held a dialogue with László Kövér, President of the Hungarian National Assembly.
In his meeting with Sulyok, Zhao Leji conveyed Chinese President Xi Jinping's warm greetings and noted that Xi Jinping's state visit to Hungary in May 2024 had elevated Sino-Hungarian relations to the level of an all-round strategic partnership for a new era, opening up broader prospects for friendly cooperation between the two countries.
China is ready to build a relationship of good friendship with Hungary based on mutual respect and trust. As good partners with mutually beneficial cooperation and good brothers who understand and support each other, he added.
