The end of the Belt and Road Film Week in Shanghai brought an international atmosphere, cultural experiences and prizes for the most popular films. Thousands of visitors, Chinese pingtan, herbal amulets and enthusiastic directors all made for an impressive festival backdrop.
V rámci 27th Shanghai International Film Festival se odehrál Belt and Road Film Week, which included a cultural marketplace, "Travel with Films" experience walks and a festive Charm Pudong Gala Night at the Pudong Art Museum.
Filmmakers from Mexico, Hungary, Germany and other countries went to the historic town Xinchang Ancient Townwhere they tasted tea, watched a traditional Chinese opera Suzhou pingtan and made their own scented amulet from Chinese herbs. This place is also known as one of the locations of the movie "Lust, Caution" by Ang Lee.

Maďarský režisér Balint Szimler again praised the music he heard during his visit, and the German director Julia Roesler appreciated the opportunity to understand the differences between Chinese and Western medicine through the production of the herbal bag.
Audiences could vote for the best film all week long. The result was the award Audience Commendationthat took home the pictures "Traffic" (Romania, Belgium, Netherlands) and "The Shore of Life" z Číny.
The closing ceremony, with international participation, cultural exchange and the screening of 15 films, confirmed that film connects people across continents - exactly in the spirit of the Belt and Road philosophy.
