Xi Jinping praises Xinjiang's transformation: 'Seventy years of unity and prosperity is a vivid picture of the rebirth of the Chinese nation'

President Xi Jinping visited a thematic exhibition in Urumqi on September 24 to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, stressing that the region's development is proof of the success of the national autonomy system and the Party's strategy for governing Xinjiang. He said that this strategy has proven to be scientific and effective and should be continuously promoted in the light of new conditions.

The exhibition at the Culture Exhibition Center is divided into three parts - "A New Day in Harmony of All Nationalities", "Development Vision Under Tianshan Mountains" and "Beautiful Xinjiang Creates Glory". It introduces visitors to the historical and contemporary development of the region, including the fight against poverty, economic achievements and the strengthening of national unity consciousness.

Xi Jinping inspected the exhibits, was interested in the details and appreciated the work of the creators of the exhibition. He said the exhibition exudes positive energy and inspires unity and joint efforts. He stressed the need to present the contrast between the past and the present so that visitors can better understand the progress of the region and strengthen the consciousness of the common Chinese community.
