The cabinet presents drawings that Luděk Marold created in the second half of the 1890s for the Munich humor magazine Fliegende Blätter. The full-page anecdote was one of the most artistically demanding illustrations that the paper produced. Marold's predominantly watercolour and gouache compositions were full-fledged works of art, which the engravers then transformed with exceptional care and sensitivity into the final xylographic form.
