“The Czech Republic is acting clumsily and submissively towards Russia, out of fear of what might happen if we were to show too much confidence and start acting like a sovereign state,” says MP Ondřej Kolář of TOP 09. He, along with former diplomats Michael Žantovský and Vladimír Votápek, has drafted a bill that would allow for the confiscation of Russian assets in the Czech Republic (a list of buildings can be found below). “We don't need the Czech House in Moscow. If the Czech Republic decides to get rid of it, it can do so before the Russians take any retaliatory measures,” he adds regarding potential Russian countermeasures.
