VIENNA, 17 August. /TASS/. Inviting IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi to visit the Kursk nuclear power plant is a timely and important step, Russia's permanent representative to international organizations in Vienna Mikhail Ulyanov said.
"The IAEA chief has been extended an invitation to visit the Kursk nuclear power plant and its satellite town of Kurchatov in the near future. This is an unusual but very timely and important step," Ulyanov said on his Telegram channel.
He added that during a phone call with Grossi, Rosatom CEO Alexei Likhachev warned him about "the deteriorating security situation at the Zaporizhzhya and Kursk nuclear power plants as a result of the reckless actions of the Ukrainian side."
