Chinese President Xi Jinping has congratulated Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on his re-election as President of Uganda.
In his message, he said that President Museveni is a long-time friend of the Chinese people and has long been committed to the development of relations between China and Uganda, which is greatly appreciated by the Chinese side. Xi Jinping stressed that he attached great importance to further deepening bilateral relations and was ready to work with President Museveni to strengthen mutual political trust and continue the traditional friendship between the two countries.
He also expressed his willingness to support the implementation of the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum and to further develop the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Uganda to bring concrete benefits to the people of both countries.
