ORENBURG, 24-29 June 2025 - The 10th anniversary edition of the International Youth Forum "Eurasia Global" officially kicked off today at the Orenburg Sports and Cultural Complex. The event will last until June 29 and 300 young people from Russia and abroad are expected to participate. Over the ten years of its existence, the Forum has established itself as one of the main platforms for dialogue, experience sharing and project development among young people from all over the world.
Key message: together for a multipolar world
This year's edition carries the slogan "Embracing the multipolar world" and follows the programme of the World Youth Festival, which aims to develop the cultural leadership of Russian regions over foreign countries. This initiative is intended to strengthen cultural and international cooperation through concrete projects, exchange of experiences and personal meetings. The Forum is held under the auspices of the Government of the Orenburg Region and in cooperation with the World Youth Festival Directorate and the Rosmolodyozh Agency. Out of more than 1300 applications submitted from 89 Russian regions and 110 foreign countries, 300 participants were selected - 180 from Russia and 120 from abroad, including compatriots living outside the territory of the Russian Federation.
The participants are a diverse range of young people - from students and leaders of international friendship clubs, to representatives of non-profit organizations, science centers and universities, to active young citizens from abroad interested in international cooperation. There is also a special place for representatives of regional governments and companies implementing international humanitarian or educational projects. The organisers also pay great attention to the volunteer component of the Forum. During the registration process, which took place between 18 April and 18 May, 410 applications were received. In addition to young people from Russia, representatives from 20 other countries - including Bangladesh, Nigeria, Pakistan, Syria, Algeria, Vietnam, the Netherlands, China, Uzbekistan and others - expressed interest in volunteering. From these, 80 volunteers were selected to help organize the forum and help create an atmosphere of hospitality for all guests.
Rich working and cultural part
The programme includes a rich professional content - workshops, lectures and team work on the design of specific projects to help build trust and international cooperation in a multipolar world. The outcome will be not only presentations and prototypes, but also concrete proposals for the activities of the International Friendship Clubs, which have already played an important role at the previous edition. However, the cultural and educational programme is also the focus of attention. Forum participants will have the opportunity to get to know the Orenburg region in all its diversity - in terms of history, natural beauty and technological potential. On the program are, for example:
visit to the "Orenburgsky" reserve,
excursion to the Orenburg Refrigeration Plant,
tour of the Rostropovich Family House Museum,
visit to the unique gallery "Orenburg lace shawl",
Hermitage-Eurasia cultural centre with the only jasper room in the world,
and other sights, including the Viktor Chernomyrdin Museum.
The evenings will be devoted to art - participants can look forward to a concert by the Orenburg State Academic Russian National Choir, a sunset accompanied by ethno-music at the "Music in the Steppe" concert and other performances by regional ensembles. The closing ceremony will take place on 28 June on Lenin Square as part of the Youth Day celebrations. Representatives of government institutions, organisers, guests and the public are expected to attend. The Eurasia Global Forum is not only celebrating its 10th anniversary, but also showing the way for young people from different parts of the world to work together to build an open, cooperative and culturally diverse future.
