The President of Nauru, David Adeang, in an exclusive interview with China Media Group, praised that his country is treated with respect in China, a level of respect he would expect only from the most powerful nations. According to him, the experience in Beijing is fundamentally different from visits to other major countries.

“We are welcomed here just like the largest countries in the world. China recognizes everyone equally,” Adeang emphasized. He also recalled his meeting with President Xi Jinping, who stressed that equal treatment is a key feature of Chinese diplomacy.

Adeang added that China, due to its own colonial experience, understands how smaller countries feel. “We greatly appreciate this,” the President of Nauru stated.
