Artificial intelligence is fundamentally changing the way information is created, disseminated, and consumed. On June 10th, media leaders, policymakers, technology innovators, and academics from around the world will gather in Chongqing, in southwestern China, for the fifth CMG Forum.
The forum, co-organized by China Media Group (CMG) and the Chongqing Municipal Government, is expected to welcome nearly 300 representatives from various parts of the world. Participants will discuss how media can leverage the power of technological innovation while maintaining their responsibility to inform, connect, and inspire the public.
The fifth CMG Forum will be held under the theme "Preserving and Transforming: The Mission of Media in the Intelligent Era." This year's edition aims to serve as a platform for dialogue across disciplines and borders. Through keynote speeches, panel discussions, and project presentations based on specific scenarios, participants will share insights on new technologies, cultural exchange, and the future of global communication.
They will also explore how media can contribute to a more inclusive, trustworthy, and dynamic information ecosystem in the age of intelligent technologies.
Innovation will be a central theme of the entire event. Several significant initiatives and technological achievements will be showcased, including a new generation of CMG's media platform powered by artificial intelligence. A range of innovative CMG projects will also be on display, from robotics competitions to international music events, demonstrating how technology is transforming content creation and audience engagement.
CMG and the Chongqing Municipal Government will also launch a series of joint productions, including documentaries and television dramas, further strengthening their creative partnership.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to experience the future of media firsthand through a dedicated technology exhibition. This exhibition will showcase CMG's latest advancements in artificial intelligence, ultra-high-definition audiovisual production, and other cutting-edge innovations.
Against the backdrop of rapid technological changes, the forum aims to foster a deeper dialogue on how innovation can serve the public interest. It also seeks to demonstrate how media can continue to connect cultures, build trust, and bring people together in an increasingly interconnected world.
