On March 19th, a Russian global dialogue forum titled "China in Spring: China's Development – Opportunities for the World" was held in Moscow. The event was co-organized by China Media Group and the Chinese Cultural Center in Moscow.

Mr. Shen Haixiong, Deputy Director of the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and CEO of China Media Group, in his video message, stated that the annual "Two Sessions" meetings provide an important window into contemporary China and once again attracted the attention of the entire world. This year's meetings, among other things, approved the proposal for the 15th Five-Year Plan, which, according to him, not only sets the direction for China's high-quality development but also brings new opportunities to the world.

According to a CGTN global survey, more than 80 percent of respondents believe that China's emphasis on high-quality economic development helps to guide the global economy and brings much-needed stability and positive impetus to an unstable global environment. During the meetings, Chinese President Xi Jinping emphasized the need to further expand openness to the world, actively develop global markets, and strengthen the connection of the international economic cycle. According to him, this reaffirms China's commitment to continuing to open up to the world.

Mr. Shen Haixiong also stated that China Media Group is ready to leverage its strengths in international communication, technological innovation, and media resources to ensure that the results of China's modernization benefit the entire world. The goal is also to collaborate with partners to create a new chapter of human civilization based on mutual enrichment.

The years 2026-2027 were declared by the leaders of China and Russia as the "Years of Chinese-Russian Cooperation in Education." During the discussion session of the forum, young Russian participants focused primarily on connecting educational systems and developing cultural exchange. They emphasized that the 15th Five-Year Plan places emphasis on gradually opening up in the areas of education and culture, and on strengthening people-to-people contacts with countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative. According to them, this creates a clear framework for further development of Chinese-Russian cooperation in the humanitarian field.

The program also included the first foreign presentation of the Russian version of the large documentary series on industrial culture, "Zhonghua Kaogong Ji," produced by China Media Group.
