Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said at a regular press conference that we urge the US side to stop engaging in "presumption of guilt" and political manipulation.
He added that the U.S. should stop political and discriminatory law enforcement against Chinese students and scholars in the United States and reflected in their actions the U.S. leader's statement that he welcomes Chinese students to study in the United States.
Guo warned that China will firmly protect the legitimate rights and interests of overseas Chinese students and scholars, and also remind students studying in the United States to be vigilant of the risks involved.
