The Czech economy enters the beginning of March marked by a slightly improved business sentiment, but also by growing uncertainty caused by geopolitical tensions. According to the latest economic surveys by the Czech Statistical Office, overall confidence in the economy increased during February, mainly thanks to better developments in industry and construction, while consumer confidence weakened slightly. At least 23 people lost their lives and more than a hundred others sustained injuries on Sunday during widespread protests in Pakistan. The demonstrations erupted after news of the killing of Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei spread among the population.
