Dear viewers, this time we are writing to you with an important message. Richard Krajčo has announced a theatre break, so the currently scheduled dates of the production All the wonderful things will be the last for a while. We wish Richard a well-deserved holiday and we look forward to seeing you, dear viewers, at the Summer Stage. Life goes on, and bad news comes from all directions. All the wonderful things remind the audience once again how colourful and beautiful life is. A million reasons to rejoice.
A slightly different performance each time. Richard Krajčo selects a few audience members from the audience to help him tell the story of a boy who writes a list of joys for his sick mother. Water play, ice cream or sharing your favourite book... What will you add to the list of wonderful things?
Richard Krajčo
In 1996 he began studying music and drama at the Ostrava Conservatory and in 1999 he joined the ensemble of the Petr Bezruč Theatre in Ostrava. During his four years there, he created a number of unforgettable roles, gaining most attention for Shakespeare's Hamlet and Tom in Williams' The Glass Menagerie. In 2003 he accepted an engagement at the National Theatre in Prague. At the same time, his popularity outside the theatre was growing (his successful debut album Magnetic Field was released in 2001). Immediately after he moved to Prague, our principal Milan Hein offered him a role in the play Love and Understanding. The British drama premiered at the beginning of 2004 and Richard Krajčo met, among others, David Švehlík. Their artistic and human harmony resulted in further theatrical collaboration and the birth of the now legendary production Rainy Days. Krajčo won the 2012 Thalia Award for the role of the ambivalent Denny. The focus of his career had already shifted to music by then. He has only sporadically devoted himself to acting. After Rainy Days, he returned to the stage in a new role in 2023 - in Ungelt he staged the monodrama All Wonderful Things, which immediately after its premiere caused an unprecedented wave of audience interest. Ungelt is the only theatre with which Richard Krajčo cooperates and where you can see his extraordinary acting qualities live.
