BEIJING - At the invitation of the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Thongloun Sisoulith, visited China for a state visit from June 2nd to 6th. On the afternoon of June 5th, Xi Jinping held a grand welcoming ceremony in honor of Thongloun Sisoulith's state visit to China, on the square in front of the east entrance to the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Following the welcoming ceremony, the two heads of state met in the Great Hall of the People, where they held official talks.
