China's President Xi Jinping on Friday visited national political advisers attending a joint meeting of the groups at the fourth meeting of the 14th National People's Congress. National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

Xi Jinping, who is also General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, was joined in the discussion by political advisors from the Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party, the Jiusan Society, as well as representatives from the medical and health sectors and the social welfare and social insurance sectors. He listened to their comments and suggestions.

On this occasion, Xi Jinping stressed that building a Healthy China by 2035 is a strategic decision of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. The Fifteenth Five-Year Plan represents a key period for achieving this goal, and it is therefore necessary to carry out comprehensive planning, speed up the implementation of measures and strive to make decisive progress.

Xi Jinping said that in the past year, the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference has conscientiously carried out its duties, put forward proposals on the preparation of the 15th Five-Year Plan and made contributions to the development of the Party and the country. The Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party and the Jiusan Society, together with their members, actively participated in political affairs and provided public services, making new progress in all their activities. Experts in the fields of medicine and health care, social welfare and social insurance devoted themselves to the practice of building a Healthy China and improving the living standards of the people, playing a new role in this endeavor.

Xi Jinping stressed that „our country is a socialist developing country with a huge population and significant disparities between urban and rural areas“.

„In order to build a Healthy China, we need to build on our country's national conditions and consistently pursue the development of a healthcare system with Chinese characteristics, while firmly adhering to the health policy guidelines of the new era. In view of the development and changes in the situation, we must optimize the work in the health sector and improve some specific measures, but we must always maintain clear thinking and strategic resolve on fundamental issues,“ Xi Jinping stressed.

He added that building a Healthy China is a systemic project. In the face of the increasingly diverse and growing health needs of the Chinese people, he said, it is necessary to focus on key areas - those tasks that have a broad impact, affect the whole system and benefit large numbers of people.

„It is necessary to focus efforts and resources on improving the public health system, building a quality and efficient health service system and promoting a healthy and civilized lifestyle. We need to take effective measures to achieve concrete results,“ uvedl.

Xi Jinping also stressed the need to deepen reforms and improve mechanisms for the coordinated development and management of the medical, health insurance and pharmaceutical industries.
