A promotional event for the English edition of the fifth volume of the book „Xi Jinping: The Governance of China“ was held in Jakarta, Indonesia, on Tuesday. The event was attended by more than 200 representatives from various fields in China and Indonesia.
According to the participants, the fifth volume reflects the latest development of Xi Jinping's thinking on socialism with Chinese characteristics for the new era and is an authoritative work that helps the international community better understand contemporary China.
China has now entered a new phase of the 15th Five-Year Plan for the period 2026-2030, while Indonesia is moving towards the vision of „Golden Indonesia 2045“. According to participants, the two countries' cooperation on strategic alignment and deepening development cooperation will bring concrete benefits to both nations while strengthening the role of the global South and contributing to the improvement of the global governance system.
Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly of Indonesia Ahmad Muzani said the book launch created an important platform to deepen the exchange of views between China and Indonesia.
He expressed the hope that the publication would help Indonesian government officials, academics and the younger generation to better understand China's development path and its philosophy of governance.
Minister of Transmigration Muhammad Iftitah Sulaiman Suryanegara said during his visit to China, he witnessed efforts to eradicate poverty through a people-centered development strategy.
He added that China's key concepts and innovative practices in the areas of poverty alleviation, rural development and coordinated regional development represent a systematic solution for Indonesia that can serve as an inspiration for organized population resettlement and accelerate the development of the country's eastern regions.
Participating experts and academics also discussed topics such as development opportunities in the 15th Five-Year Plan period, joint modernisation and experiences in poverty reduction.
