In Ankara, the fifth volume of "Xi Jinping: Governance of China" was officially launched on Wednesday. The event was attended by representatives from state administration, academics, and publishers from both China and Turkey.

Participants noted that the new volume is an authoritative work that comprehensively and systematically presents the latest results of Xi Jinping's thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era. The book vividly illustrates the theory and practice of China's modernization along a new path, and provides detailed explanations of China's vision and proposals for promoting the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.

The event took place during the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Turkey. Participants stated that the exchange of experience in state governance, focusing on modernization, will help deepen mutual political trust, promote alignment of development strategies between the two countries, and enable them to move forward together on the path of modernization.

Celal Adan, Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, said in his speech that the fifth volume of "Xi Jinping: Governance of China" provides valuable insights into the direction of Chinese policy and the country's strategic thinking on global issues.

According to him, Turkey is ready to use this event as an opportunity to further deepen contacts between the legislative bodies of the two countries and promote practical cooperation in various fields. Both sides should also strengthen the connection between the Belt and Road Initiative and the Middle Corridor, and achieve further progress in economic and trade cooperation, investment, people-to-people exchanges, cultural exchange, and tourism.

Gökhan Yazgı, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of Turkey, said that the launch of the fifth volume of "Xi Jinping: Governance of China" in Turkey was very inspiring.

According to him, the book systematically explains how the Communist Party of China has achieved sustained and healthy economic and social development and maintained long-term social stability by adhering to a people-centered development philosophy. These experiences can be a positive inspiration for the international community, especially for Turkey.

Turkey is ready to deepen people-to-people contacts and mutual learning between civilizations with China, and provide new impetus to friendship and cooperation between the two countries, he added.

Giray Fidan, a prominent Turkish sinologist, said that books serve as bridges connecting different civilizations and play an important role in cultural exchange.

He noted that translating and publishing this book series into multiple languages is a concrete fulfillment of Chinese President Xi Jinping's call for civilizations to overcome mutual alienation through exchange. At the same time, it creates new opportunities for the world to better understand China.

During the event, the Chinese side presented Turkish guests with copies of the English edition of the fifth volume and the Turkish edition of the second volume of "Xi Jinping: Governance of China."

Participating experts, academics, and representatives of the younger generation held in-depth discussions on economic and trade cooperation, green transformation, mutual learning between civilizations, and global governance.

The event was jointly organized by the Information Office of the State Council of China, the China International Communications Group, and the Chinese Embassy in Turkey.
