US President Donald Trump has been briefed on the military and covert operational options for dealing with the Iranian situation. According to information from the US administration, these are „a wide range of options“ that „go well beyond traditional airstrikes“.
Two anonymous US Department of Defense officials said that while long-range air and missile strikes remain a key tool for potential military operations, they are not the only option under consideration. At the same time, the Pentagon is preparing large-scale cyber and psychological warfare programmes targeting Iran's command structure, communications systems and state media.
According to officials, cyber and psychological operations can be conducted either in parallel with conventional military actions or separately, depending on further developments.
