China is ready to actively cooperate with the international organisations in Vienna and their member states. At the same time, it wants to consistently defend the current international system and strengthen the authority and position of the United Nations. This was stated by the Chinese ambassador in Vienna on 26 January.
According to Li Song, China's permanent representative to the UN and other international organisations in Vienna, it is crucial for Beijing to maintain an open dialogue and deepen international cooperation. These remarks were made during a reception held to mark the Chinese Lunar New Year and Spring Festival at the UN headquarters in Vienna.
More than 800 guests attended the event. Among them were representatives of the United Nations, other international organisations based in Vienna, permanent diplomatic representatives and staff of international institutions.
