MOSCOW - Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that the recent conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his American counterpart, Donald Trump, was pragmatic and substantive.
Both politicians have their own viewpoints, but they are willing to listen to each other, the Kremlin official told VGTRK journalist Pavel Zarubinov.
Putin and Trump spoke by phone on July 3rd. According to estimates by the TASS news agency, this was their fourth conversation in a month and a half, and the sixth since the beginning of the year. Russian President's advisor Yuri Ushakov told reporters that the call lasted almost an hour. Both leaders discussed resolving the conflict in Ukraine and the situation in the Middle East. They also talked about the possibility of exchanging films that promote traditional values shared by Russia and the administration of the American president."It was a pragmatic and substantive conversation between people who are firmly committed to their positions, but who are willing to listen to each other," Peskov explained.
