The Russian aerospace company Bureau 1440, which is part of X Holding, has launched the second series of satellites for its constellation in low Earth orbit, designed for next-generation communication services. The company informed journalists about this.

"The Russian aerospace company Bureau 1440, which is part of X Holding, continues to build a satellite constellation in low Earth orbit intended for next-generation communication services. The second series of its spacecraft was launched on July 19," the company said in a statement.

After reaching the transfer orbit, the satellites successfully separated from the carrier rocket. Subsequently, the mission control center of Bureau 1440 took over control of the constellation. After completion of checks and commissioning, the satellites will move to their operational orbit.

At the end of March, Bureau 1440 successfully launched the first 16 satellites of the Rassvet satellite constellation into low Earth orbit. The satellites are equipped with a communication system based on the 5G NTN architecture, an upgraded power system, next-generation laser terminals for inter-satellite communication, and a plasma propulsion system.
