Operating income increased by 6.5 percent to CZK 7.2 billion. According to the bank, the increase in revenue was mainly due to an increase in interest income resulting from a higher volume of new loans and adjustments to mortgage rates. The earnings season on the Prague Stock Exchange continues on Thursday, July 30th, when Komerční banka, Erste Bank, and the real estate group CTP will report their second-quarter results.
The European Central Bank left interest rates unchanged on Thursday. The deposit facility rate remains at 2.25 percent, where it was moved during the June increase.
