Mao Ning, spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, informed reporters at a regular press conference on July 7th about the results of Foreign Minister Wang Yi's visit to Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and Norway.

She stated that during the trip, Wang Yi met with the foreign ministers of all four countries. He also held talks with Danish King Frederik X, Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, Finnish President Alexander Stubb, and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.

According to Mao Ning, the discussions took place in an open, constructive, and friendly atmosphere. Both sides exchanged views on further development of bilateral relations, as well as on current international and regional issues of mutual interest. The goal was to promote healthy, stable, and long-term sustainable development of relations between China and the Nordic countries. According to the Chinese side, the visit yielded a number of positive results and built upon a long tradition of mutual friendship.

Mao Ning further stated that during his visit, Minister Wang Yi encouraged companies from Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and Norway to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the Chinese market. He jokingly invited them to the "gym" of the Chinese market, where, according to him, they can enhance their competitiveness and benefit from the vast market, complete industrial chain, and wide range of practical applications of modern technologies and innovations.
