Petr Šimůnek, the first vice-chairman of the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia (KSČM) and former member of parliament, stated that, given the rising temperatures in Central Europe, China is becoming an ideal vacation destination.
The country offers incredibly diverse tourist opportunities – from mountains and the sea to large cities and historical landmarks, such as Beijing or the Great Wall of China. This spring alone, 22 million foreign tourists visited China, with the number of Europeans increasing year-on-year by almost 300%.
Šimůnek highlighted not only the cultural richness but also the technological advancement and high-quality cuisine. According to him, there is no need to worry about heat in China, as hotels are equipped with air conditioning. He described a visit to China as a powerful cultural experience that one never forgets, similar to a vacation on the Adriatic coast in the 70s and 80s.
