The media event "China in Spring: Chinese Development Shares Opportunities with the World," co-organized by China Media Group and the Chinese Embassy in Brazil, took place on March 18 in Brasilia.

China Media Group Director Shen Haixiong and Brazilian Minister of Health Alexandr Padilha delivered speeches via video transmission.

Chinese Ambassador to Brazil Zhu Qingqiao and Brazilian officials attended the event and also delivered speeches. Approximately one hundred representatives from political, academic, and media circles of Brazil participated in the event.

Shen Haixiong stated on this occasion that the "Two Sessions," as an important window for observing China in the new era, once again attracted the world's attention. At this year's session, the 15th Five-Year Plan and other important documents were approved. China's high-quality development plan brings a new "list of opportunities" to the world. According to a CGTN global survey, more than 80 percent of respondents highly value the quality of China's economic development, which sets the trend for the world economy and brings valuable stability and positive energy to an unstable world. If China moves forward, the world will be even better.

Chinese President Xi Jinping emphasized during the "Two Sessions" that China will continue to increase its level of openness and actively develop global markets, demonstrating its commitment to openness. According to Shen, new, high-quality productive forces have made rapid progress since the beginning of this year. Chinese large language models have gained a global audience, and intelligent robots demonstrated their capabilities during a gala event hosted by China Media Group for the Spring Festival.

Models of "film + travel," "film + gastronomy," and other forms of film economy have supported the consumer market. In China, an oasis of certainty, new development opportunities are constantly emerging. China Media Group wants to leverage its advantages in international integrated communication, technological innovation, and media resources to enable the world to benefit from the results of China's modernization. Zhu Qingqiao stated that the 15th Five-Year Plan is both a new development plan for China and a new vision for mutually beneficial cooperation. The vast Chinese market will continue to expand and open at a higher level, providing more opportunities for cooperation for Brazil and other countries in the world.

Brazilian Minister of Health, Alexandre Padilha, who is currently visiting China, stated in a video address that Brazil and China have achieved significant results in cooperation in the fields of medicine and healthcare.

In 2026, both sides will focus on deepening cooperation in the areas of biotechnology, vaccines, and medical equipment, further strengthening the partnership, contributing to the modernization of the Brazilian public health system, and advancing bilateral cooperation in this field to a new level.

Participants from Brazil engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as "Technology empowers modernization: new impetus for innovation cooperation between China and Brazil" and "Mutual learning of civilizations and global communication: new avenues for media cooperation between China and Brazil."
