US President Donald Trump has sharply criticised Iran's latest reaction to the US proposed deal to end the war. He said Tehran's response was „totally unacceptable“.
„I have just read the response of the so-called Iranian officials. I don't like it - it is ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE!“ Trump said on Truth Social. He did not provide further details on his statement.
Iran's state-run IRNA news agency reported that Tehran sent its response through Pakistan, which is acting as an intermediary in the negotiations.
According to the semi-official Tasnim news agency, the Iranian response stresses the need for an immediate end to the war and demands guarantees that similar aggression against Iran will not be repeated. The proposal also includes other conditions to be enshrined in a political agreement.
Iran is also demanding that the United States lift sanctions on Iranian oil exports and release frozen Iranian assets within 30 days of the preliminary agreement.
