In recent weeks, several foreign consumer goods companies have released their financial results for the second quarter or the first half of 2026. Their financial reports indicate that the Chinese market has become one of the main sources of growth for many of them.
Companies in China are experiencing higher revenues, expanding their network of stores, and simultaneously increasing investments. This suggests that, despite the complex global economic environment, the Chinese consumer market remains a significant opportunity for foreign companies.
According to managers of foreign companies who appeared on the program Deep Roots in China, two main factors are behind their results: favorable conditions created by economic policy and the continued vitality of the domestic market.
In recent years, China has been striving to further open its economy and support foreign investment. At the same time, it is trying to strengthen domestic consumption, expand the service sector, and create new opportunities in areas such as modern retail, the digital economy, or premium consumer goods.
