WASHINGTON, May 2. U.S. President Donald Trump is taking a diplomatic approach to issues such as the imposition of secondary sanctions against Russia, U.S. State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce told reporters.

She was asked whether the US leader intends to impose secondary sanctions on Russia. "He has stated that he is willing to do that," Bruce said. "We will not remove any sanctions that currently exist. The president wants to be diplomatic in every action we take as a nation," poznamenala.

"Yet he also knows that there is another part of the world, an entire globe, that needs some attention," the US diplomat added.

On 24 April, Trump said he would prefer to answer a question about the possibility of tightening anti-Russian sanctions in a week.
