Painting No. 7 – Jan Milíč of Kroměříž was a significant figure of the 14th century. He came from Moravia, but he gained fame in Prague, where he criticized the excesses of the church and served the poor. Thanks to his actions, he gained many supporters and followers. In 1372, he built a monastery dedicated to Mary Magdalene on the site of a former brothel. The people in the upper part of the painting, working on the scaffolding, are building the monastery, whose main purpose will be to care for the poor. Below them is Milíč himself, a humble figure on the right, preaching to a group of women who are exchanging their worldly clothes for the white robes of nuns. **More here.**
