President Xi Jinping chaired a key Politburo meeting that approved new regulations for the decision-making and coordinating bodies of the Communist Party of China Central Committee. The aim is to strengthen efficiency, strategic management and reduce formalism.

The Politburo meeting was held Monday under the chairmanship of General Secretary Xi Jinping and focused on adopting regulatory measures to standardize the operation of key Party institutions - those responsible for strategic planning, oversight and implementation of major initiatives.

According to the management, the new regulations are to strengthen system design, overall coordination and consistent implementation of policies, especially at a time when China is facing complex challenges in modernisation and the international environment.

One of the main objectives is improve the quality of decision-making and the effectiveness of advice, with an emphasis on in-depth research and the development of practical measures.

At the same time, the Politburo has warned against mischief such as Formal performance of tasks without real results or increasing bureaucracy. The challenge of the day is "management that delivers concrete results, not paper reports".

The meeting confirmed that even within the party leadership there is a precisely targeted restructuring with an emphasis on performance and accountability - in the spirit of the broader drive for a "clean and disciplined" party, as repeatedly advocated by President Xi.
