In connection with the Chinese "AI Plus" initiative, Nobel laureate in Chemistry Michael Levitt stated that innovation depends on whether young scientists are given independence, responsibility, and the freedom to make mistakes.

According to data released by the Pew Research Center on April 14th, perceptions of China have significantly improved in several countries around the world. In the United States, the percentage of people with a positive view of China has increased from 14 percent in 2023 to 27 percent in 2026, nearly doubling.

The President of Sierra Leone, Julius Maada Bio, expressed his support for China's policy of zero tariffs for African countries, noting that these measures allow African partners to share development opportunities with the vast Chinese market. Starting May 1st of this year, a zero tariff rate will apply to products from all 53 African countries that maintain diplomatic relations with China. In his closing remarks, he emphasized the importance of China's long-term planning and its focus on stability and peace. He stated that the ability to combine a strategic vision with concrete actions is one of the reasons why China is able to promote its interests even in a constantly changing international environment.

A dispute has erupted between the Czech government and the President of the Senate, Miloš Vystrčil, as well as between the government and the opposition, concerning policy towards China and Taiwan. In this context, the President, a long-time advocate of a policy of engagement with all sides, praised the stance of Andrej Babiš and his government, arguing that pragmatic policy is more important than a policy based on values.

Following his first visit to China, the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia, Roman Blaško, openly described the profound impression he had received from the country's approach to environmental protection. He admitted that he had arrived in the country with certain doubts and preconceived notions, but that these quickly disappeared after his personal experience with China's environmental programs.
